For Students

Current Michigan Students

The strength of the Social Venture Fund comes from our connection to one of the greatest universities in the world.  We draw not only on the resources of the Ross School of Business, but also on the talent that exists in all of the other top schools that make up our community.  We currently have relationships with the following programs: engineering, public health, natural resources & environment, education law, and design, but would love to work with anyone in the community. If you are interested in being involved with capacity building, due diligence, contract development, branding, design, etc, please contact us at: .

Ross School of Business Students

The Social Venture Fund is housed within the Zell Lurie Institute for Entrepreneurial Studies at the Ross School of Business.  The success of the fund is largely due to the limitless drive, initiative and creativity that Ross students bring to the fund each year.  We do our primary recruiting for the fund in September, but we also have opportunities throughout the year for you to participate in specific projects from due diligence to capacity building, so watch out for announcements. If you have specific ideas about how you would like to contribute to the fund please contact us at: .

Prospective Students

The fact that the first student run social venture developed at Michigan is a testament to the unique qualities both of the Ross MBA and the University as a whole. Ross is known for its action-based approach to learning and there is no better manifestation of that than the SvF. In addition, Ross has consistently been on of the top rated MBA programs both for entrepreneurship and for social and environmental impact. The University as a whole is extremely inter-disciplinary with numerous dual-degree masters programs and has been at the epicenter of social movements since JFK introduced the concept of the Peace Corps on the steps of Michigan Union.  If you would like more info about the SvF please contact us at: .
