Our Health

U.S. healthcare spending accounts for over 16% of the U.S GDP. In 2009, the U.S spent over $2.5 trillion on healthcare costs. Despite this, over 16% of the population remains uninsured and life expectancy in the U.S is ranked 42nd in the world, behind even some developing countries.

Focus

The Health Circle seeks to invest in U.S-based enterprises that promote innovative, transformative, and cost-effective healthcare solutions. Our focus is on areas not traditionally funded by either venture capital or research grants both of which typically are the dominate source of capital in the healthcare field. As a result we invest in enterprises which can achieve any of following:

  • Provide cost-effective healthcare access to underserved communities across the U.S.
  • Develop low-cost medical technologies for use in underserved resource-low settings
  • Address chronic health burdens through behavioral change and lifestyle choice
  • Apply successful & innovative health models found elsewhere in the world to the U.S.
  • Reduce the cost burdens of the U.S healthcare system through improved efficiency and new technologies
