John is a second year MBA/MS student with the Erb Institute for Global Sustainable Enterprise. Prior to coming to the University of Michigan, John spent seven-plus years working in the finance sector, most recently as a Portfolio Analyst for Fisher Investments. John plans to use his time here to transition into the renewable energy industry by applying the quantitative and analytical skills he has honed over the course of his career. More specifically, John is interested in finding sustainable energy solutions that satisfy the increasing demands of developing economies as they continue to industrialize. Upon graduation, John would ideally like to be involved in the cleantech entrepreneurial equation—either by working in venture capital or by creating/working for a start-up. John holds a B.S. in Business Administration and Spanish from Nazareth College and hopes to use his language abilities in his future career. In his spare time, John enjoys reading, traveling, and the outdoors.
