Juan Pablo Garcia

JuanPabloGarcia

Juan Pablo’s main interests are the alleviation of poverty and the regeneration of the environment through the creation of sustainable projects. Before joining the University of Michigan, he was working at an investment banking firm on bringing together the global orange juice industry with the principle of shared value creation, by working in the creation of an OJ exporter with over 2,500 local orange producers in Mexico and two major companies. Prior to working in the financial industry, Juan Pablo worked at the Secretary of Social Development where he managed projects between NGO’s, private companies and the government, but was quick to learn that business driven solutions are more effective and longer lasting than political or altruist ones. In his spare time, Juan Pablo enjoys live music, good food and outdoor sports.
