Brian is in his second year of his MBA/MPP dual degree with a focus on finance and education policy. Before coming to the University of Michigan, he taught second grade in Oakland, California as a corps member with Teach for America. Prior to that, Brian worked for three years as a strategy implementation consultant with BTS USA, Inc. where he designed and facilitated customized business simulations for Fortune 500 clients to accelerate strategic change and improve business acumen. Brian has also had the opportunity to intern for Detroit Mayor Mike Duggan, in the White House Office of Management and Budget, and for former US Senator Richard Lugar. Brian earned a bachelor’s degree in government from Dartmouth College where he was a member of the basketball team.

When Brian is not conducting due diligence on the next great social venture, he enjoys scuba diving, serving as a volunteer firefighter, running with his wife, Jen, and spending time with his baby son, Connor.
